PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United StatesI think it works. The fence draws your eye through the image, and those clouds are ominous. 16 Nov 2008 5:46am jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandI also think it works I can almost feel the clouds boiling!! 16 Nov 2008 6:23am Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesA powerful image you have to look at! The fence and the clouds are great. 16 Nov 2008 6:25am Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainGood image, I like the b/w and the compositon, I think that the broadside cropping adds beauty to this image. 16 Nov 2008 10:25am Maramy from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomYes i think this is a great b/w image, love the long fence!! very powerful image!!. 16 Nov 2008 10:50am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomIt has an almost abstract simplicity and yes it works. 16 Nov 2008 11:17am @grouser: Hello! Grouser! Sometimes i do things without giving enough thought. Have tried your 'tip' with contrast and brightness 'fiddling' and it has really improved the image. Thanks. Jeffster from Long Island, United StatesI think it works well. I would agree with grouser. The fluffy white clouds could be toned down a bit to make the storm look more threatening. 16 Nov 2008 1:56pm @Jeffster: Hello! Jeffster. Have tried it and i agree with both oy you. Thanks. Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomEven without seeing the original I'd say it works..! It has an isolated moody feel to it. 16 Nov 2008 1:56pm willow from Chelsea, United StatesLove the lines of the fence offset by the randomness of the clouds. Works for me! 16 Nov 2008 3:08pm Pixim from Nice, FranceI like these two guiding lines. One on ground, very square, very uniform, human what!!! The other in the sky, vaporous, inventive, far from the meanly human being Bravo for this sight and this parallelism ;) 16 Nov 2008 6:11pm Toomaj from Tehran, Irandirection of fences is a harmonic element, enhancing the composition, beautiful,, 16 Nov 2008 9:18pm Alejandro Caballero from Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, SpainBuena desaturacion y buen juego de luces y sombras, saludos. 16 Nov 2008 10:14pm Angela from Halifax, United StatesReally nice contrasts. The fence and the sky, even the clouds contrast with each other. Great shot! 16 Nov 2008 11:15pm MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesOoops, batton down the hatches, here she comes!
