'Albino'Posted by MaryP (Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom) on 9 November 2008 in Plant & Nature. An unusual colour for a poppy!? I found it growing in my garden this year. The petals were like crumpled 'tissue paper'.

Nadine, I suppose it does look a bit artificial, being such an odd colour for a poppy, but it is real. I've also had this year, poppies in Purple, Mauve, and Peach. They should all have been bright Pink or Red. Weird!! Steve from Evesham, United KingdomI love the delicate nature of the shot, the white against the black background really brings it out. Great photography - a lot for me to learn! 9 Nov 2008 9:38pm manel from Girona, SpainPrecioso contraste.
