A quick snap of a family paddling in the sea, at Findhorn on the Moray Firth. Their child is the little 'bit' standing at the end of the sandbank. (middle of image). Thought i'd have a go at B/W.

Your 'go' at BW is very good, and it creates a great isolated almost cold atmosphere in this image.

This tones on a black and white photo are really difficult to achieve. The image is superb and shows clearly how carefully this was mettered and composed. A fine art print. This is one that a wish I'd taken.

You did well on the B&W the whole range from black to white is in it. Great composition and lines and a fabulous example of how small we people are compared to nature ;)

just divine tranquillity!!! your faaabulous shots capture the sleepy character of this magical landscape -- rolling hills, foggy hollows, majestic rocks -- supremely beautiful! i MUST come back to the UK!! until i joined this website i hadn't a clue as to the beauty of your 'islands' ...arriving in London 5 years ago, i found i didn't take to it too well... but i saw nothing else but the big city... Now i must venture north!!! Thank you for these splendid shots!! Bravo!!

It has such a peaceful and serene feel to it. I love the open space and this is really superb in black and white! You have a wonderful way with landscapes (seascape in this case) and one can learn so much from your compositions.
