Bennachie in early Winter - Aberdeenshire

This 'little mountain' is much loved by the folk of Aberdeenshire and can be seen for many miles around. For many living away from Aberdeenshire Bennachie stands for 'home'.The top is called 'mither tap' and on a clear sunny day you can see the Moray firth and the North Sea glistening in the sun. (I live in a village on the other side.)

Mary, this Bennachie came so familiar to us during our living there in Kinmuck.
Children found many hiding places and heathers were so high, that they could hide also among them :)
